Experience the beauty and mindfulness of Japanese tea culture through an intimate introduction to Chado — the Way of Tea.

This immersive experience begins with a traditional Chado demonstration, where you’ll observe the graceful rituals and quiet hospitality at the heart of the Japanese tea ceremony. You’ll then enjoy a tasting of Usucha, a light and delicate matcha tea prepared in the traditional style.

Guided by your host, you’ll also take part in a hands-on whisking experience, learning the fundamentals of preparing matcha yourself using traditional tools and techniques.

This workshop is led by Mariko from Kokage — sharing authentic Japanese tea culture to bring a little mindfulness and daily ritual into everyday life. Holding an introductory Japanese tea ceremony certification, Mariko is excited to introduce you to matcha through tasting and hands-on tea making.
