At the bakery, my goal is to make the kind of bakes I want to eat myself. And with classes, it’s to teach the kind of things I would be excited to learn. The focus is always on bringing beautiful flavours and textures together. Something with a bit of unexpected joy, a bit of je ne sais quoi.

Shaheen PeerbhaiPastry Chef, Author, TeacherAll classes are taught by Shaheen Peerbhai, the chef and owner of Miel Bakery, who has trained thousands of students across India and Paris. Classically trained in French cuisine and pâtisserie at Le Cordon Bleu Paris and London and at Centre de Formation d’Alain Ducasse in France. She has honed her skills in Mumbai, Paris and London at establishments ranging from terroir driven bistros to 3-Michelin starred restaurants. She has won four prestigious scholarships from The Culinary Trust, USA and The James Beard Foundation, USA. She has authored a French cookbook titled Paris Picnic Club (Barnes & Noble, NYC, 2018). She is former food editor of the BBC Good Food Magazine, India.
